What type of goddamn school are you going to that your tuition will be over 100k?

Ja-hee-sus. Mine is 40.
Not just tuition.

All over.

Books, classes, food, general needs, etc.

but probably 50-60 thousand of college-related expense.

I got out of college with 20k something in student loans, but my parents paid a good deal of my room, board, and supplies.

I've taken out maybe half that in loans in 2 years of graduate school

My student loan payments kicked in this month.  Karth, accept fate, because you're gonna get raped no matter what.

I have a solution for you Karth. Its the exciting field of TILE. Yes, TILE.

First you durock a shower. It is fun and virtually dust free.

Then you actually get to lay tile.

Ooohhh exciting we get to make a cut.

And finally grouting.

See ya in a few years Karth!

note: tile rules and i recommend it to anyone. pay is decent, hardly any rules, and you dont have to sit in a classroom/office every day.

Are you looking at state universities only?  Some private colleges might have higher tuition, but they might also have some really good scholarships.  That's what drew me to the college I ended up attending.

My state still has their 50-100% scholarships as of now, and hopefully it says that way. Anyone who isn't a complete dumbass can get them, too.
And I got a girlfriend, and I'm hanging out at her house for 6 hours or so on Saturday while her parents are gone.
So my day went pretty good. Smile

This guy my wife works with is a serial degree earner to keep from paying his student debt.  He is up to like $150k now I think.

At least I can get something good out of this.  If they cut the Bright Futures scholarship my mom will stop bitching at me to go to an in-state school.  I'd much rather go to NYU or UofC.

My student job didn't suck, the flip side is that it barely covered rent though.

Maybe if you are going to your college bookstore. I've never paid more than $50 for a book off of Amazon and I've never sold a book for more than $70 off of Amazon.
