i looked them up and Rudy was listed as number 1 in many polls... i just watched it... i wish i hadn't
that movie was the biggest pile of steamed shitlings i have ever seen in my life, the whole fuckin movie lead up to a spectacular climax of him standing on the sidelines and playing in the game for 9 seconds... i understand his struggle and all that but i just simply didn't care. Everyone has personal struggles/stories and some are more interesting than others, doesnt mean that adding a wise groundskeeper and orchestrated music will make the shitty story any better. Fuck Rudy and everyone involved in making that piece of horseshit. I'd rather watch starship troopers 2 while eating squashed grapes out of a colostomy bag.

Reminds me of this. Check out #4. As for a good american football movie? Can't think of any at the moment. Maybe "The Last Boyscout" even though it's not totally centered around the sport, and it's not that good. But it's better than "Rudy" for what little it's worth.
