new cartoons don't use ink blot test gags anymore, as far as I know, granted I don't watch much new cartoons

i think simpsons did it?

i knew what the rorschach test is anyway, we never covered it in phychology, maybe its more pop psudeo phychology or something.

It was inspired by the psychoanalysis that was really popular at the time.

No one really believes that psychoanalysis is true anymore, and even less actually practices it, though this is almost always how psychologists appear in the media.
