I have tried Steambot Chronicles, Ace Combat (any) and Warriors Orochi and it couldn't run any of them passably if at all.  I'm only interested in running games over emulation that would actually see benefits from doing so (improved framerate/loading times, or widescreen progressive support), and none have worked so far.  I'm gonna take a wild guess that Shadow of the Colossus and Disaster Report aren't gonna do great either.

PS2 emulator is cpu heavy. If you've got a mediocre cpu, then you'll get mediocre performance.

Also, the point of PS2 emulation is to play hard to find, rare, unreleased, etc. games, or if you don't have a PS2/have an old/broken PS2, etc. Faster framerate is for PC games, console games are meant to play at a specific fps (60, 50) and not above that. I can pull 100fps on half the games I play on the PS2 emulator if I don't turn the FPS limit on. Of course, that means they are just skippy garbled pieces of trash because they're trying to run at 2x the speed the game was meant to be played at.

I still have chronotrigger and FFIV sitting on my counter because I didn't care enough to grind.

Except Chrono Trigger doesn't require grinding, so gtfo.  I maxed every character in the game to lvl 99 in under 60 hours, so it can't take that long to just play the game through proper.
