No need for a PS2 or any hard copies of games. |

buy a 3rd party wired 360 controller, it's $17.99 and I haven't really heard much complaints about them. There's also drivers out now for a PS3 controller to work with PC with the PS3 leash

What games are you people playing on a PS2 emulator? Everything I tried ran from crap to not at all other than Culdcept, which hardly counts as anything. And Karth's computer is signifcantly worse than mine.Â

Also, don't buy hardware on ebay. 9 10ths of the time it's stolen anyways, and you wont get what you asked for.

My PS3 is unfortunately busted. Brother's, actually, but he won't pay the $125 for repairs. I'll probably end up doing it, since he says he'll give it to me if I do.

You can use a PS2 emulator without anything besides ISOs, assuming your PC can handle it. PS2 emulation is very CPU intensive, not graphic intensive, you'll need a minimum of an E6750, a E8xxx is generally your best bet. Wouldn't know about what you'll need on the AMD side, but I've read the intels are better for emulation anyways (random problems with AMD, just google up). |

I ran Culdcept decently, though it's a fucking PS1 (well DC technically) level game, and turn-based, so I'd hope it works ok. Have yet to see a single other game that works playable. I did try that Wii/GC emulator though, and it ran Tastunoko Vs Capcom reasonably playable, with only real hitches on flashy stuff and a texture error on the "hit" effects. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work with any controller but the weird default 360 controller support it has that gives you no options at all. And then it had input problems where it would constantly tap a direction when I was just holding it. Still pretty impressive, and that game looks amazing.
Also Karth has a low level dual core AMD, so none of this is relevant to him at all ;P. (09-11-2008, 05:11 PM)Dave link Wrote:i would totaly ride that gay ass dragon thing. |
