Karth is just wearing nostalgia goggles. Sure, D/P/P may not be as good as the old ones because you know, we were children (ps karth you're still a child) back then and you remember it in NOSTALGIA VISION, but by no means does it make the new ones bad. It's not like the transition from Fallout 2 to Fallout 3. The core mechanics are still there, shit's fucking awesome, etc etc.

Rotom's not legend status is actually a benefit.
Also, I'd have to agree on GSC being the best generation. By far, it was the biggest game (excluding amount of Pokemon) and introduced relatively important changes (ie, genders, breeding, Steel and Dark).

Actually in ruby/sapphire they had planned to allow you to go back to johoto/kanto...but then they cut the area out to make fire red/ leaf green
