So, for the past couple hours, I've been at the McDowell Music Festival with my sister. All I have to say is that if you ever have a music festival in your area, or just want a place to smoke a LOT of weed, GO TO SAID FESTIVAL. It's an amazing way of spreading music and local customs, along with sharing the music of local bands (if not extremely creepy local bands. Seriously).

First off the bat, the size of these festivals are incredible. Local foods, fryers, batting areas, local shops, t-shirts, tie-dyes, etc. It's insane. The crowd really gets into these things, not to mention a butt-load of drugs.

I'll tell you what, at least half of the crowd was doing weed. I've never smelt this much before, EVER. And they passed that crap all around, never knew they were so generous. But yeah, if you hate the smell of weed, you may want to avoid festivals.

But enough talk, you're in here for photos.

First up is Matisyahu. He's very calm in-concert, not exactly the most "exciting" thing to be doing. BUT HE'S ALWAYS MOVING AROUND. I couldn't get many clear shots of him.

Now here's where the real spectacle begins. The Flaming Lips are notorious for their amazing concerts, because Wayne Coyne puts so much heart into these things. It was an incredible thing to experience. I was completely off my rocker for the next 2 hours.

Wayne just being flipping awesome.

:O Teletubbies!

One cool thing that happens at every concert is that Wayne will go into a giant hamster ball, and roll around in the crowd. He was literally inches away from me. Didn't get a picture of him that close though. Sad

In-case you were wondering, yes, that is Wayne's Double Neck mutant half-guitar, half-guitar hero controller guitar.

The flaming lips have a song called "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots". At the concert, I was so proud of Arizona when I saw a custom-made Pink Robot suit being passed up to the stage. I believe Wayne's words were, "Oh My God, a Pink Robot."

Wayne being absolutely awesome again.

you sound shocked that you smelled pot at a flaming lips concert. that's like being surprised to see methheads at a tool show.

also, man, i am glad to see matisyahu still kicking around. i thought we lost him there.
