you know, the first thing that happened to me today was some guy warning me about swine flu.

It can take months to develop a pandemic,  so just because the 24 hour media cycle makes this problem much worse than it actually is, what makes this much different from other strains of avian and swine flu is that it has mutated with a strain of the same pandemic spanish flu that killed 50 million people in the early 1900's, and is capable of passing from humans to humans.  What made the avian flu a non-issue was that it has not up to this point mutated to this point and would only be passed from animal to humans directly.  I certainly believe the WHO when they say that it is pandemic material, but shouldn't become a problem if it is handled correctly.  It certainly isn't a strain of influenza that we have been immunized for, and there have only been 20 mild cases reported in america, but it seems to be a fairly big deal in mexico.

again i dip into the gluey pools of competative gaming, my GW guild is now rank 777th in the world in Guild vs Guild 8v8 fights, been training pretty relentlesssly, hoping to get into the 200s soonish. This is a slippery slope.
