Oh my God, I was just hit by INSPIRATION!

I just thought of something that would make a GREAT flash....if I could animate or draw.

Setting:
It's in the world of video games, where it's being treated as a slimey buisness instead of releasing quality games. A bunch of different characters are there and it takes place in a new-york type city. Mario is a big figure head for Nintendo, swimming in dough, and being an idol for the kids, but he's not enjoying it. Other companies are pumping out games and such things as Guitar Hero, shovelware, and other games with way too many sequels are being broadcast on TV's. This mainly focuses on the story of a couple Nintendo characters (since IMO I think that they've been hit hardest with crap) and a couple others: Mario's already been mentioned; Link is retired and has a family, misses the old days; Donkey Kong is a hobo/bum now, since Nintendo's pretty much milked him to death; Banjo and Kazooie are a bit freelance now, just stopping by for a few plot points; Kirby is seen around the city just scrounging for scraps; Last but not least, Duke Nukem, for his recent disappointment. There will be various other appearences depending on how it goes. Traditional video game clothing is gone. Replaced by suits and various other "buisness"-type clothing.

Plot:
The plot is as the video game industry is today; it kind of sucks. The console market is overflowing with shovelware, good games are just a diamond in the rough, the "city" is growing continually more and more unorganized and crime-based. It's it's becoming a polluted cramped city *trying to think of a city such-as*. Link is contacted by Mario for a lunch date, Link is happy to go, even though he hasn't seen Mario in a while. Link leaves his cheap apartment/house (still thinking on what it should be) and eats with Mario. He mentions the "old days" which refers to SNES/ N64 era. They reminisce for a while, when Mario gets a call. He tells Link that something important has happened and leaves without another word. It cuts to a brief scene of Miyamoto in a hospital bed, sharing his will with Mario. He wants Mario to take over Nintendo for him, Mario refuses, and Miyamoto says to restart the company. Mario, confused by the statement, leaves to gather his thoughts. As he passes by, he sees DK on the street. DK, now a homeless ape, sees Mario. Mario gives him some cash, and is recognized for who he is. Kong punches him in the face yelling at him, telling Mario about how he sold out the company and how he caused all the harm to the city. He leaves Mario with a bloody nose, and even more thoughts to gather.

Not done with this yet, and will be revising. If you have any suggestions, PM me. I really like where I'm going with this.

But no, this really focuses on the video game industry as a whole, and how it's downgraded in recent years. (the last 3-4 years I'd say) It revolves around a couple nintendo characters, but mainly tries to point out that the industry has become corrupted.
