If you would have told me last year that the Chicago Blackhawks had the potential to make it to the 3rd round of the playoffs I would had laughed. I knew they were a young team with a lot of potential but I had no clue that they could harness it so quickly.Â
Unfortunately I don't see them standing much of a chance against the Redwings next round but this is the most excited ive been for hockey in many years. So who is/was your favorite team in this year's NHL playoffs? And who do you think is going to take it all? |

Well, my wife is from Pittsburgh, and we cut a deal a while back that if she'd be a Raven's fan, I'd be a Penguins fan. Lucky for me, Baltimore has no hockey team  My friends are all Caps fans, so it's made this series pretty exciting around here...

Fuck this thread, my team lost in four matches because we had 5 serious injuried players.
I'm rooting for Vancouver right now, since it's the only Canadian team... Luongo better kick Blackhawk noobs' asses in the 2 next games. [move][glow=black,2,300] Vote Benito 2012  [/glow]                             ï@.[/move] |

THAT IS A DEAL THAT THE DEVIL HIMSELF WOULD NOT FORGE. Tell your wife she is a traitor. Betraying the steelers for the ravens? Deplorable. On a lighter note, Game 6 pens caps tonight. Hm. I have a distinct feeling that Malkin is warm for HIS hat trick, since ovie and crosby have had theirs. |

I'm from Chicago and my GF is from Vancouver (although she grew up in Indianapolis). This series has been interesting to follow because I'm a token hawks fan and she's a token canucks fan :o
It was even more funny when the Bears played the Colts in the Superbowl, and the Bears' QB was Kyle Orton, a fellow Purdue alum. Fastest TD in history, then a supremely disappointing game. Rooting for the redwings since the canadiens were out in 4.
I ordered a winter classic shirt of detroit, it kicks ass. Next year, no idea how the canadiens team is going to look, alot of players are at the end of their contracts. Hope they call some big guns in. Oh and finals are going to be red wings vs. whoever will win between the hurricanes and bruins. |

I'm so torn right now and hurting from the Canadians losing to Russia in the IHL.
I really want the Canucks to win but I had been cheering for the Blackhawks earlier in the play-offs. My g-ma called me a traitor this weekend for saying that I wasn't sure who I wanted to win -- she's mean once she gets a couple of beer in her. |

I live in DC, so I'm rooting for the Caps. Thankfully they actually won an overtime game tonight so onto game seven with the Pens. Hell of a game though, had my roommates and I nervous towards the end there.

No team worth cheering for now.

Then you cheer because you want good players to join your team so you can kickass in the next season. Then it's preseason...
