Locking your own thread is fine, and like 100x better than someone else locking it.

It is the counterpart of sadism. Now, if you had said that it is is masturbatory to create a self-serving thread for your own gratification and lock it once you got what you wanted, then I could probably find some examples. just a heads up that pushups dont really end up doing anything at all. youll gain a small amount of endurance but no strength at all due to the low ammount of weight youre actually moving. you basically just get better at pushups and nothing else there isnt any carryover at all

pushups are easy, and that won't get you anywhere near my six-pack, fyre. I also haven't worked out in half a year and still have it and eat food that's terrible for you. (candy bars, pizza, etc.) I'm also like 5% body fat so yeah.

To hell with that. For me, it will be progress. If I stick it out and get to a hundred, maybe I'll start going to a gym. |

im not saying you cant get anything out of bodyweight but its pointless compared to the effort put in. put the same effort in the gym and you will get 10x the results. buy a used weight bench for 100$ tops at a garage sale and your set. 1 barbell, 2 adjustable dumbells, 300# in weights, and a bench is more than enough. missing squat rack but you can do front or overhead squats.

That is true, but for me I want to be able to get back into martial arts at some point and bulk would not really help me and probably get in the way. So I need a lot of endurance. I'm trying to work a routine around some weight (I do situps with a medicine ball) but mostly things like rowing machine and squats and stuff. Of course I really don't know what I'm doing on my own :-\ Mostly I'm trying to do a similar work out to what I was doing in Kung Fu without the feeling like I am going to drop dead at any moment. |

[/quote] bulk wouldnt be an issue at all. youre not going to turn into a professional body builder without 15 years of work and even they are incredibly flexible. look at sprinters, football players, basketball players, MMA fighters etc. they all have large amounts of muscle mass (likely far more than you will get since its their job and all) yet it doesnt hold them back whatsoever. muscle adds speed aswell if thats what youre looking for. the big dumb musclebound stereotype is completely retarded. |
