I have to say, this is probably one of the most exciting experimental Firefox Add Ons I have seen in a while. It changes your new tab page to what basically amounts to a customizable "desktop" of sorts that you can add clickable thumbnails of sites of your choosing, search boxes, or even folders from your computer. All objects are resizable and drag-and-drop friendly to set things so you are most comfortable with it. You can even change the background picture to your liking (notice my Chrono Trigger one in screenshot). It is a handy little add on, and I pray Mozilla uses something like it in the 3.5 release, else I may just have to supplement whatever they have with this.Â

This is a natural evolution to all those add-ons that give you thumbnails of what you've got on current tabs, eh?
The resizing and total customization excites me. Thanks for linking it! |

If that water just keeps tumbling off the edge of the island at that rate... wouldn't it eventually run out? How are they maintaining it?

Really? What's the difference between having five Firefox tabs open and five interactive thumbnails? Okay, yeah, I could see complex visuals like a bunch of Flash ads bogging you down, but (and I'm naive on this) doesn't Firefox have to maintain the HTML, clickable link targets, all the whosits and whatsits of a webpage in RAM during multi-tab browsing anyway? Or does it forget about everything but the active tab? |

Well FF has itself always been known as a bit of a memory hog, but constantly updating another five thumbnails for live views seems like it'd just bog down too much.
