Try highlighting all your periods and increasing them to size 16 font.

Got that in my reddit feed. That blows. I am and always will be a double space after period man. It just looks better. Fuck AP style. First they wanted to screw me over with Dumpster and now this.

Thanks for picking up the poll we posted on http://www.dagoosh.com!  Much appreciated!  We agree, double spacing is much better, and makes so much more sense that we were blown away by the amount of people who swear by single spacing and people who seemed to be appalled by the idea of double spacing.

Even with the fixes in typesetting when the switch from typewriters to computers happened, it still looks 100x better when a paragraph is double spaced rather than single spaced.

I remember reading an editorial in a 1997 issue of macaddict (seriously i know) claiming that the double space was, much like qwerty, an artifact of the typewriting age.  However, i don't really care if it is an outdated form of puncuation, goddamnit it looks better, feels better, and organizes better.  You can disagree with this all you want, but if we keep bowing to character driven modes of communication like twitter and text messages then we might as well just be a bunch of savages.  It's the devolution of our language and i wont stand for it one more day!

My work uses single spacing, and I've had to switch to it for blogging too.  I hate it. Double spacing is so much better.
