I think the idea was if you can't express the idea behind the exclamation point in your writing you are doing it wrong.  Plus it seems like it does a terrible job of doing what it is supposed to.  You don't get to it till the end of the sentence and then you have to retro-actively add the emphasis to what you just read which doesn't have much of an impact at least for me.

Well its a short statement which makes it easier to parse in your mind.  But if we are being honest I don't know how much emphasis it is really adding to me.  Plus if we are talking writing talent there are plenty of verbal bitch slaps I've seen you and others make that were far more effective than fuck you!

Au contraire. I think the shorter, less verbose statements accentuate the increasingly asshole-ish tone implied by the punctuation. To wit:


                Fuck you?


                Fuck you.


              Fuck You!
