yes, once some dude told me to type /camp (equivalent of F10 in source) in the middle of OG (major town)
it took my about 10 mins of downloading player locations for me to be able to move in that city.

Oh god, nostalgia is awesome. I remember being at my friends house, way back when we first got online with PSO. We'd unplug his 56k connection to dupe items. Fucking win.

LOL @ BBS's, I actually built a modem interface for my TI-83 and got onto BBSs using that + a 9600baud modem I ganked off my old Apple-II.
