If I remember correctly, the only reason Pixar did Toy Story 2 is because Disney was going to do it with or without them, and when they saw the initial stuff Disney's internal team made for it they had to get involved so that their property didn't get shat all over. And it looks like something similar happened with Toy Story 3.
Also I'm wondering how they're going to handle Slinky Dog, since he shows up in the teaser even though Jim Varney died. |
