Had the idea for this, and I think we may just have enough people to go threw with this now. (Epic, Chrono, Caff, Vongore, Jorge and myself come to mind come to mind.) Not sure how we'd organize (single elimination?) but I'd gladly offer up a spare Jirachi I have as a prize. Would anyone else be interested in partaking? Ruleset would be Smogon standard (OU and under only, sleep clause, species clause, item clause yadaa yadda yadda) I think we need at lest 6-8 to make it work, but we could do it with as low as four if it comes to that. I had an idea of making the matches live and watchable somehow, but that got squashed by the impracticality, and that even I wouldn't want to sit and watch other people play a Pokemon game.

OU and under only: Means you can use any pokemon except ubers (which are ones like Metwo, Lugia etc) full list here
Item clause: Each Pokemon has to hold a unique item, if any (i.e. no giving everyone leftovers)
Species Clause: Only 1 of each pokemon allowed on each team (i.e. no all Tyranitar team)
Sleep Clause: Only 1 pokemon on each team can be asleep at a time (so no Bleroom sporing all your pokemanz)
Evasion Clause: No use of double team or minimize

Probably forgot some, but those are the rules for a standard match

level 50 or 100? I would prefer 50, as I could actually spend the time to tailor my dudes to 50, and have never gotten a pokemon to 100 before. Let alone spend all the time grinding them.

I think in online play it scales everyones pokemon to the same level.

Correct, you could throw up a level 1 and if you played a 'level 100' battle it would scale what you were playing up to level 100, all that *really* matters is EVs, IVs, and move sets, you dont have to waste time leveling to 100

Correct, you could throw up a level 1 and if you played a 'level 100' battle it would scale what you were playing up to level 100, all that *really* matters is EVs, IVs, and move sets, you dont have to waste time leveling to 100

    This is relative to my interests. I have a few level 50s just sitting around and collecting dust. Sponson, a few others, and I were pretty into pokemon diamond and pearl when it came out. I also have a damn skippy team of 30s, but I'll roll whatever level is decided on, in all likelihood.
