garfield, like every other newspaper cartoon, has never been funny in the least. that is by far the best thing and its still pretty bad

i dont get paid to be funny

also today i had an excellent pun. when my brother was using a drill i called him drillbon as opposed to michael wilbon of parden the interuption fame. you see i replaced part of his name to make a joke. since my brother was using a drill i added that into the name in an area where it would rhyme. this is sadly funnier than any garfield cartoon not to mentin the awful tv show and movie. feel free to +1 me now thanks in advance

garfield is in the "funny" section for those of you that have never actually picked up a newspaper. ignore the title its misleading

What I'm saying is, I don't think that every newspaper cartoon is unfunny. Calvin & Hobbes and Peanuts are two obvious examples of, IMO, good cartoons.

Peanuts was never funny. Calvin and Hobbes was cool, but that was more about the kid being a cool role model for irl griefers when we were 10 than being funny.

Whatever. 90's Peanuts sucked, but late 50's through the early 70's (and even parts of the 80's) was pretty great stuff.

The Boondocks ran in newspaper when it was being made.  So, overruled.

Also Dinosaur Comics is in the local "news"paper here.

Boondocks wasn't funny either until it aired on Cartoon Network, and even then it had about 3 or 4 moments.
