He was
the fucking KING OF POP. And we no longer have him. Granted, he wasn't doing much, he was still a better person than most stars (child molestation cases aside). |

It is sad when some one of his caliber dies, but I honestly don't care only because he's been such a mess of life for the past forever amount of years.. probably would have been better off to go tragically so he was remembered for what he did pre-insanity
trust me... I'm a 2L |

Hmm, read up on his life in wake of the death and you really have to feel bad for him. He was a horribly abused, and I think you could probably find some direct connections to his child hood trauma and the complexes he had in his later life, especially those regarding children.

Yes, I liked some of his music but people die every day in more horrible ways than his. Big fucking deal. I'd rather mourn for people who deserve it. That was kind of harsh but I'm not really sure how to say what I mean. |
I sort of get what you mean, in that I don't really care about the death itself (I'm hollow that way D But it's just after reading up on his life, he just seems like such a tragic figure that I can't help but pity. |

That was kind of harsh but I'm not really sure how to say what I mean.
Way too harsh, people do die every day and no one really needs you to mourn, but you wouldn't say big fucking deal to his family. I think what you're trying to say is you'd rather mourn for people you care about/are close to, which is human nature. If I told you some guy in Australia died of old age you wouldn't break down into tears, but if it were a relative it'd be different because it's someone in your life, not a figure you didn't really appreciate in the first place. Sorry for being blunt, "big fucking deal" kind of grated on me. Someone died, most of you aren't fans, hell neither am I. I just see no reason to point out how unimportant it is, because it is important to someone. Oh and this goes for you idiots making child rape jokes too. Face and Ensign, show some respect and save it for a few days. Grey's the only one who gets a free pass around here for that and even he hasn't said anything. Damn kids. I agree with honest here, even though it is insignificant to us, you can't be telling us "big deal". Even though it may be true.
It would be like me talking about your mother's/father's/child's death and going "big deal, at least the carrion feeders will be happy." |
