I don't know who you are. You are apparently a troll. I've yet to see you do anything wrong (mind you I've only been back for a week). If you don't want people to think of you as a troll, my suggestion is to get a new icon, as your current one screams troll. Might I suggest a nice digitally colored still of a cat as opposed to a repeating .gif. repeating .gif's loose a lot of respect in many peoples eyes, see also: Mr.Gray.

edit: Not repeating .gif. I mean RAPIDLY repeating .gif. Lots of people on the forums have .gifs. Just not ones that repeat quite so fast. I don't know why that is different it just is. Look at Surf and Riosans icon for the appropriate level of gif repeatiness.

Here's what happened: When Mr. Face first joined the forums, he broke a bunch of unspoken rules of social conduct on the Internet/ in life, e.g. necroing a bunch of threads with nonconstructive posts, using brbu inside jokes and memes that he didn't know anything about, and generally acting like he was an old vet of the community when he'd only been on the forums for a week. This proved to be a great example of how important first impressions are, as some people, including myself, started disliking his behavior and his presence here.

For me, I was reminded of one of my most-despised types of people: people who try to jump into a social group really heavily before they've earned the respect of its members. This essentially led to me basically ignoring his posts or, more often, finding little things to dislike about his posts. And since I at least like to pretend I'm a nice person, I didn't vocalise any of these thoughts.

However, after reading the responses in this thread as well as this article that was linked to in the same article Dave posted, I've realised that I'm judging Mr. Face way too much on just a few days' worth of posts, and I'm sure he's a decent human being who is capable of contributing worthwhile comments and ideas to this community (though whether or not he will exercise that capability, time will tell). Therefore, I will now stop -1ing him every chance I get.

And now I sincerely hope he does not respond to this post.
