Seceding from NY isn't as big around here as many seem to think. I'm not entirely sure we'd be able to hold our ground financially, seeing as we likely wouldn't get any of the parts of NYC.

Yeah I know I've already said this in another thread but I'll go ahead and list some more of the details here. I'm on a semi-educational trip to Ireland to take some courses with other Americans at NUI, Galway. In particular I'm taking an archaeology class and a Gaelic literature class. The program stared on June 24, so I've already been here for like a week and a half. I've got about two more weeks left before it ends. So far I've had a really great time here. I've met a lot of cool people and have been to some awesome pubs. I've also been to a few megalithic tombs and some other cool places.
