Went to an anime con 2 years in a row. They fucked up our hotel the first year so I barely did anything and only went back because I assumed I missed fuckawesome stuff.

Yeah, I've always wanted to go to SOME kind of con.  It's boring here

But I'd probably end up in the same boat

I'm the kind of guy who doesn't like talking about video games to strangers because I know I'll either be associated with "those people", or I'll cause "those people" to want to come up to me and go "OH COOL U PLAY GAMES? DO U PLAY WoW/Halo/C&C3/ETC.?"

I think one of these days I'll just succumb to my nerdness, get over myself, and stop being suck a tightwad about it   I can't decide if I really want to or not.

Now anime cons I know are scary.  Mostly cause I don't really watch too much anime and I knew a slightly talkative, vocal, annoying girl in one of my classes that went go to an anime con and talked about her dressing up as a character from Ranma 1/2, while ordering "accidently" $125 in sushi. She was also about 30 and living with her dad
