I decided to get irrationally angry. I chose Neonie as a target. I tweaked it to TF2 after I couldn't get Neonie to jump to conclusions. Darn. I would have continued being ambiguous if I got him guessing though.

Eh, well I don't mind the Self-Quoting so much (It doesn't really take to much to make me laugh, my humor is very easy going), I think Daves particular stance on this could probably use some elaboration.
Most of the quotes in the chat copy pasta are things that one user thought another user said that was funny. it can be a joke, a bit embarrassing, ect. ect. (I also ask before I put a quote in here, like I wanted to quote ConsFEARacy the other day and he pretty much told me no). By posting a quote that revolves around you, it sort of defeats the purpose of the thread. For instance, I had a conversation with Kor the other day and the last thing he said in the convo was "Chat Copy Pasta right there" . I waited for him to post it but he never did, I considered posting it my self but decided against it. In short, it's not ALWAYS a bad thing to self Quote your self, just make sure your bi-polar and don't remember saying it, because then the secound you is probably OH MY GOD LOOK BEHIND YOU!

The no self-quote rule was kind of an unspoken rule since this thread started. The general idea is that you need third party confirmation that a quote is worth posting. If you are in a conversation and someone else says something really funny in response to you you can quote your exchange because you are really saying that I think this person was funny in my conversation with them. It's not really a self-quote. But quoting something you think you said is funny it's like saying "here look at how funny I am" and is just begging to be judged by judgmental types.
It's not an absolute though as sometimes you can be equally funny with someone else (or more funny) so it would kind of count as a self quote but would slide (I've done this so I hope it slides). And the rule isn't so serious that we are going to start moderating for self quotes, but the idea of "no self quotes" helps with cutting out in jokes or things that others just don't get or find amusing. ![[Image: samjackson-4.png]](http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j299/White_Spartan/samjackson-4.png)
