I'm currently reading the second trade of House of Mystery.  It's really good camp fire story-telling.  Assuming the camp fire was a deranged house that has kidnapped you and you are telling stories to pay for your food.

I've heard Transmetropolitan is a classic, so I downloaded it, but I haven't gotten around to actually reading it yet.

All I know about it is the main character is based on Hunter S Thompson.

The people who did Jack of Fables are doing House of Mysteries which I was reading yesterday.  They also did plain old Fables which is pretty good but not as funny as Jack of Fables.  Although it is just as awesome, they did a story about big bad wolf tearing up Nazi's in WW2.

Final Crisis arrived..

Friggin' awesome

More comics needs Darkseid. even though he's been into almost every DC Universe comics he should replace all the main villians... which has also happened because he seems to be always behind every plot.. but anyway.. Darkseid should have clones of himself as minions.

BEST CHARACTER EVER

EDIT: Also a friend went to Spain and brought me Maus. It's truly one of the best comics i've ever read

I don't think I ever mentioned that I finished V for Vendetta the other day. Good Comic book, way different than the movie.

Yea the movie is good, but when you read the comic book you realize how profoundly they changed his character.

Alan Moore is brilliant but completely batshit insane.  He worships a snake god.  Any unguided journey through his work is bound to leave you a bit uncomfortable, I found that out with Lost Girls.

But he is very pro-gay rights.  When they had a big anti-gay outlash in England during Margaret Thatcher's time he did a lot of stuff for the gay movement.

I think Moore is brilliant. He reminds me of Robert Crumb in terms of his lifestyle -- they both think in that very, very rare and abstract way.
I love reading anything that breaks boundaries and makes people think. And you can weed out the stupid people when they're like "omgz Lost Girls is all about porn!!121!!2" No, it's not.

You should try Promethea by Alan Moore, it's a super hero that is the avatar of human imagination.  It's pretty deep.  I've only read like 10 issues though, I need to go finish it.

You got one more volume you can read - Turning Pages.  It ends on a cliff hanger though.  I saw single issues when I did a search online up to #32 which ends the arc after Turning Pages (not released as a trade yet).  Just do a google search for jack of fables torrent and issue # you want (or buy them).
