why do humans prefer hot food?
They don't?
why did humans start cooking food then? and why does eating warm things feel good.

why does warmth feel good?
probably a byproduct of the discovery of fire

and we kept doing it because cooked food is more nutritious, and it tastes better

Well I know back in the day the Romans favored th heavy girls because to be heavy symbolized that you had much wealth.

In a low-risk environment fat symbolizes the ability to nurture. People who hail from those regions prefer fat people.
In a high-risk environment it betrays vulnerability and the inability to protect offspring. People from those regions prefer skinny people.

Actually these are the opposite, in a high-risk tribal style environment prone to famine, food availability is linked directly to wealth, thus if you are fat/chubby, it means that you are more 'well off' than someone who is skinny.

In a more modern setting, the cheap and more widely available food is more fatty, so if you are poor, you eat food that is worse than you. Odds are as well you might be working much longer hours and not have the time either to exercise or make proper food selections.
When you're comparing a civilised and uncivilised culture this makes sense, but when you're comparing say, civilized Europe and civilized Africa...

Prehistoric Africa and Asia would, I guess you would say, be higher-risk than Europe and South America.

fixed for truth. The same actually applies in areas of Africa even today, not because of ancient tribal custom or evolutionary pressure but because to rapidly lose weight means that you're probably infected with HIV and are starting to collapse from AIDS.

I thought thats what my statement implied:  That if you were heavy obviously you could afford more food, thus showing wealth.  What else could I have meant?

Tsss

Caff only meant that you inverted the 2.

I didn't even notice until he mentionned it.
You said that in poor countries, the skinnies are beauties, and that in rich countries, the fatties are.
It's actually the opposite... I really believe you made a mistake when writing your first post, otherwise, you would have a point to prove.

cooking food actually makes it lose nutrients(some ways more than others), but we cook most meat because it gets rid of bacteria that our body can't. also for the taste.

Pretty much echoing what caff and tragic said, I know the same was true for India (not sure about now, the country has been changing socially and economically pretty rapidly).

Cooking is more about bacteria.

Most of these questions would better be answered by someone like an anthropologist (yes, like Indiana Jones, but real life anthropology is not nearly as exciting). I don't think these are the sorts of questions geneticists ponder.

-You'd enjoy hot food if you had snow 4 months every year.
-We find fat people not attractive because that's how the society made us, genetecist wouldn't explain it any better.
-We like having the company of animals because dogs helped us to hunt a lot, and cats helped the Egyptian getting rid of rats.

And people should stop adding thigs every time I hit the Post button.

Pretty sure it runs much deeper than that. Maybe in the beginning that's why people adopted animal companions, but (esp. with dogs) the benefits to owning a pet are huge (there are so many positive things that can come from being socially content, one example being the fact that pet owners have exhibited much swifter rehabilitation rates in hospitals)

We like animals because we like companions? We're not exactly the HERMIT POKEMON here.
