That's fine. That is how you want to handle it, and whether or not that is acceptable is up to mods/admins, not me. For the record I only ever expressed my opinion in IRC of what -I- thought was right. That does not mean that it is the only answer.

If others have a problem with it and how you want to handle it, they'll deal with it.

I was with my mother doing a plane change at Heathrow and those bloody chiclets sent her bags to Manchester and she didn't see them until a month after the trip. While I trying to find out where the bags went, some pale toothless cockney hick behind me said "fucking yankees" under his breath. I thought that was somewhat rude and offensive.

Every time Kalarifik calls me a yankee fucker, or something similar, I get a huge grin because I know I got to him ;P

Honestly, I have no idea what the context of this is about, and I'm sure most of the others are just as clueless. However I feel that this entire rage lashing at the community is more of a concern then whatever the issue at hand is and is HIGHLY unacceptable for someone in ANY moderation or Administrative position.Â

No it's pretty acceptable since being an admin has about as much to do with it as I do with attractive single women. Also I'd be clueless too if I didn't read the thread. Also some other mean words. Also he's lashing out at the part of the community that cries foul whenever he does act like an admin. Also way to welcome Dave back you jerks. Also I want a soda.

This thread sucks. Also I was fairly certain yankee only applied to Americans from certain regions, and was an american insult at those americans, so this is like asking if Ritz is a racist term for white people.

As far as the admin action on the server we have talked about it and we are behind Dave 100%. Â We could debate the ways he could have handled it endlessly but we picked the admins because we trust their judgment. Â They are the ones in the situation. Dave did nothing that won't happen again with another admin in a similar situation coming to the same decision. We like to stick to the discipline ladder whenever possible but sometimes you have to remove a player that could poison the fun of the server.

As far as some of the response rage Dave went overboard and has apologized. This issue is settled and this thread will be locked.
