My that was a very exciting battle vs G-rad and Pigmask! Hoho! The tides swung back and forth constantly, between every hit, every switch!

Thanks for the awesome tourney, pig mask, that really ignited my love for pokemon! Now lets have another.

Also Tournament is done! I can honestly say, that that was the greatest match I've ever had. In the end it came down to 2v1 (and it was really 1v1, since Torterra would have just been ko'ed in one move) But in the end, the evil anime camp villain succeeded. I can't stress enough how intense of a match that was. As those who faced him know, G-Rad is one of the best players I've ever seen, and I can't count the times I said to myself "shit, I've lost this." His team is comprised of some of the most unique and amazingly unorthodox pokemon I've seen, and to see a Kanghsikhan or a Nidoking preform like that was an incredible sight to behold. It was truly a battle of equals (but fuck you and your swampert XD), and I look forward to reading the sure-to-be eloquent play by play he wrote, and to facing him, and all the other fabulous competitors again. Perhaps in the upcoming August tournament....

I was talking to a couple of guys about the matches and they seemed very interested in the idea, and would love to join us. I can vouch that their both good people (CrocBox and Qalamari) and good trainers as well ;3

I probably won't jump on this until the Silver Remake comes out, but sounds exciting.

    I must say I have never had a pokemon battle take 47 minutes. Glad to see everyone likes my swampert, but after battling Pig Mask I can clearly see what in my team needs tweaking, and thanks to him I'll be buying platinum and working more with EVs and IVs next time around. The play-by-play will be up in a day or two. Also I would like to note, I've never sweat because of a video game before.

Kind of like how starcraft 2/diablo 3 will supercede starcrat/diablo 2. Isn't that how it works?
Sure, pokemon is the same story, different place, but so is every other remake of a game. I.e. Halo, Age of Empires, Smash Bros (nintendo, but w/e).


Also: Had a rematch with pig mask. In the first game vs him during the tourney, he crushed my face, as my pokemon were a group of rag-tag, non-ev trained buncha dudes.

This game, he won with only a gyarados left on his team, with around 20 hp.
