As far as I know, school is generally referring to high school graduates or under.

College depends on what country you are in; in Canada it's generally a faster way to get a career than University, which is longer, more intensive, and does not get your foot in the work place door like college does.

Woot!  Starting my first year of college the 20th, and I've figured out (mostly) how I'm going to pay for it.

22nd for me.

Of September. :-*

Even a pipe-laying tile-guy should be able to understand that being in school is better than being out and about and broke in the current economy

Hehe... and you haven't seen the unique education system we have here, in Quebec.
Elementary schools? High schools?! COLLEGE?!
What are those?

Primary schools, secondary schools and CEGEP are where it's at!

Try both!

Working at a standard part-time job for the bills AND full time student.  AND doing hobbyist things to like mapping that must get done.

Basically I trick myself into thinking I have no free time  :-X

This. Also, trying to find a decent internship/co-op so I can have a job once I've graduated. Living off the salary I'm making now, even if I worked five full days a week, would be tough. Senior year of university is not at all like senior year of high school. Could be worse I suppose. At least finding a decent IT job in the DC metro area shouldn't be too hard.

Get some roomies and find a good apartment/townhome.  Gonna move in with my sister and her fiancee, at a nice townhome place that runs for about $600 a month (2 bedroom 1.5 bath) including all utilities except electric (so about $250 a person I figure per month).  Pretty affordable plus plenty left over working 22-30 hours a week, though I'm not paying my own car insurance for the most part (worse comes to worse use a bike unless you live in the middle of nowhere).

Yea I'm really going to have to figure out how to afford law school when (if  :'() I get in. Being the only responsible grandkid of rich people means I'm the only one not guaranteed a hand out. I'm not entirely sure what the policy is on working outside of classes but I could work for my dad during off days and try to get into whatever programs they have to help with tuition. I will probably be doing a lot of nonprofit work.
