i like bashing dark as much as the next guy but he's pretty much right on the money, lasers skip (it's incredibly noticeable if you use low sens). Having better aim doesn't change that james )

if you haven't noticed by now you probably never will, in which case it doesn't really matter what me or dark say (unless you just like to spend money). I hear that ir mice are the best, but i've never gotten to try one out myself so take that with a grain of salt

edit: if all you care about is dpi (lol) you can always buy a mamba james

my experience with laser mice has been much, much, better than my gaming experience with optical mice.
although I do have my sensitivity very high for the win.
I'm not bashing dark, i just disagree with him because i have no clue wtf he was talking about.
maybe it's just the fact i have pretty high sensitivity, but idk.

while we're at it the deathadder and IME's don't have mouse correction

mouse correction fixes your movement so they are "straighter"

you'll feel really bad at first without correction, but in the end it helps

guys, I don't remember the last time i put a CPU fan on.
Does it generally just attach to the socket, or do you have to screw it into the back of the mobo (am i going to need to put the CPU fan on before I put the mobo in the case?)
i can't remember what i had to do with my brothers rig, but I remember having to screw my friends waterblock into the back.

I've been way out of the loop on pc building for a good 4 years... but can some one explain having 8 gigs of ram...? wtf is going to use that much memory?  and I thought windows only detected 4g anyways...  Looks sick to me though... I wish I could spend over a grand on a pc... my will power wont let me haha

windows has a 4 gig memory addressing issue only if you are running a 32 bit operating system
someone could explain the technical reasons, but this is what it is

In 32 bit operating systems, you max out the number of different memory addresses at 4gigs based on variable sizes. In 64 bit operating systems, the size of all of those variables that hold addresses is doubled, thus you can have a lot more RAM. I'm not going to get into numerical specifics, but that's the technical/mathematical reasons.

[/quote]I don't know why you guys are trying to dumb it down, it doesn't take long to explain. In a 32-bit operating system, pointers to memory locations are 32 bits long. You only have unique addresses for 4 gibibytes of memory with 32 bits (2^32 = 4,294,967,296 or ~4.3 billion bytes), hence the 4GiB limit with 32-bit Windows. In a 64-bit operating system those pointers are 64 bits long, giving you unique addresses for 2^64 = 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 or ~18.4 sextillion bytes.

Short answer: 32-bit windows will let you address 4 GiB, 64-bit windows will let you address 18 billion GiB.

i couldn't get my RAID to work though
w/e, i can always play with it in the next couple of days, otherwise i have a spare 750 gig doing nothing in my computer
