To be blunt, if your team isn't ev trained at the very least, I highly highly doubt you'll win any matches. EV training gives such a higher advantage.

Lv15 had me on the ropes at one point during the match. He used a strategy that I wasn't prepared for and took out both of my heavy hitters. He's good, whether or not his pokemon are EV trained.

Thought it was pretty accepted as long as you didnt have something like a wondergard spirit tomb or something with perfect stats. Basically not being a dick.

Pokesav kind of negates the point of the game. Why even bother catching and raising and breeding them when you can just hack your way to Perfect IVs and Full EV sets. Plus it's outside of the game, and I'm a purist for anything competitive.

i use an AR for encounter codes money etc but not editing stats

I like the strategy in putting a team together but what turns me off about the whole thing is IVs being random and hidden, combine that with breeding and you need a spreadsheet and equations to keep track of everything and then you gotta go kill 100 of about 3 or 4 different pokemon each to get the EVs you need. repeat for each member of your team. it just seems like too tedious to me. EVs are not too bad I guess but IVs just annoy me. maybe if they were at least visible in game it might be more fun.
