I heard that activation codes for GFWL games, the codes required to play them online, are interchangeable with each other. Meaning that if I buy a copy of Bionic Commando, I can use that code to activate Street Fighter IV. Has anyone heard about this and can confirm it? I'm considering picking up a cheap game so I can activate Street Fighter IV on my computer instead of buying the game again at full price. I just don't want to end up buying Barbie's Horse Adventures and then not being able to use that game to beat other people into a state of unconsciousness.
Also, I'm a cheap bastard. |

I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. Also, avoid games for Windows Live games as much as possible. Windows Live is probably the most godawful online system I've played on in years. Just use steam for those games.

Ah, figured I'd ask anyway. I heard it as a rumor, and wanted to see if anyone else had heard of it/could confirm it. Thanks, Karth.

You'll have to make a gamertag (or use an xbox live one if you have it) to play anyways. |

The only game that if you download and can use another GFWL code for is RE5.
also itt we complain about gfwl even though the only game we've played with it is Fallout 3 which isn't even a fucking multiplayer game, none of you twats complaining about it have obviously played on gfwl and the only thing it does different is provide automated matchmaking with peer-to-peer instead of dedicated servers. if some of you have played a multiplayer game on gfwl learn to forward your ports or put your computer in the dmz

GFWL isn't inherantly bad. It's just bad in a few games with matchmaking, where everyone keeps timing out, making it hard as fuxk to fill a game.
<+Karrde> welp, time to learn some basic patterning skills <@Negate> 12121212121212121212 <@Negate> there is a simple pattern <+Karrde> I changed my mind. Gonna cosplay as a gay demon from hell and get negate raped instead XD <+Caffeine`work> Karrde: Gay demon? Why would you need to cosplay just go as yourself <+FlyingMongoose> Caffeine`work: Karrde would actually have to tone it down some. |
