I think that essentially nobody lived here so a group decided "let's get our own country!" and that's what happened. it's surprisingly well run (and the economy - at least at the moment - is in much better shape than the e U S of A)

Hm, considering moving us to Malaysia. Sounds pretty good over there.

Well we will be able to get most of our money out of the companies soon, we can move all of BRBU over there if it is as good as you say?
Either that or I was thinking about setting up an eUS party. It's tough because eUS is just more important overall but it'd be hard to be any kind of a player in the affairs. If we all worked together in Malaysia we could probably run it.

It WOULD be nice to see some return from my investment. But, if anyone desires to send me a moving ticket or... tell me where a good place to go in Malaysia might be... please do tell.

My current plan is as follows: whoever wants to continue to be an investor needs to understand that my goal is growth and growth requires reinvestment. Once I can clear out the stock I will try and come up with some sort of value of all of our assets. Anyone that wants to be bought out I will try and offer at least what they paid in and if we are higher valued than the total paid in than your gold plus your share of earnings.
Anyone who does not want to be bought out will have to be OK with how I am running things. I am not paying myself large amounts of money (currently $1) or taking things out of the company (except sometimes Q1 food we had left over when I was out). My goal is to grow our holdings as much as possible and I'm currently considering what the next investment should be and where it should be. So I will probably offer these buyouts once a month as our earnings will be cyclical but you are going to either have to take all your money out or none of it unfortunately because otherwise it's going to be too disruptive. |

I have no problem with the way your running things, I know my moneys in good hands and, as I mentioned before, I'd be to much of a lazy ass to do all what you do.

I don't have a problem with the way anyone's running anything, but I've been putting a lot of gold into this and I was hoping to see returns. That is all.

Come to Malaysia, and I'll sell my company and pour it all back into BRBU.
There might be a problem getting you all citizenship at first, but I'd recommend joining the eMalaysian forum and being semi-active there to make other people accept your requests. http://erepublik.forumotion.net/ Hopefully I'll be in Congress in 10 days for sure this time. ;D

I'm glad people have faith in me, I just want to be more open than I was being before to keep us from having problems. Based on my current plan if you keep your money in BRBU you probably won't get money back, at least any time soon. But the amount of things you own a share of will be increasing. I just want to make sure everyone is cool with that because trying to figure out a fair payout scheme that still allows us to grow is kinda beyond me at this point.
Also I'd like to add that your money isn't being lost really, it's still there. You just won't have access to it for a while unless you decide to be bought out.

I really don't know, then. It's going to sound rude, but... why invest in something that isn't really going to turn me a profit? If I can be bought out then I might as well be. I can hold onto that gold awhile, maybe get a home, fight with some serious weapons instead of my bare hands.
Also, I'm not really all that concerned about citizenship; as long as I can work and fight in the army, that's all I care about. I'm not all that active in forums, just wanna login, do my thing, and go.

It doesn't sound rude at all. I'm in a long term mindset with this project and I realize people aren't on the same page as me so I wanted to try and be more up front about this. I've been pretty involved in learning about the business side of the game and I've found that someone coming into this game without spending any real money has a really tough time getting anywhere. So in order to get to be successful instead of losing or breaking even like most people are you really need to reinvest everything you make. Obviously that's not what many people want out of this game so I have no problem with people saying they want out.
But if you want to be a business owner on your own you should talk to me first, it's not as easy or great as anyone thinks it is and I could save you a lot of money. |

I just realized something: a business is extremely hard to make profitable for multiple people, but pretty easy to make profitable for just one person...

Nah it's not easy to make profitable for one person either, look at the business forum of the EUS Forum. I've lost a good deal of money thanks to the econ module but I'm trying pretty hard to get it back. It's too easy to make companies and it's too easy to produce more than needs be consumed. Worst yet is it's too hard to figure out what you are making unless you know where to go for the right tools and formulas. There are a ton of people operating at a loss now and don't even know it. And if you want a really easy example of how much is lost from people not knowing things look at the prices of Q1 materials versus Q2-Q4. Q2-Q4 are all pretty much even but Q1 gets a bump in price because people don't know that all quality means is more stock. |

Dear Surf; I know own a (marginally) larger chunk of brb.u than you do. It is less marginal if you combine HeK's shares with mine (since I play his account anyway).
What do I do now? Is there anything specific you'd like me to do? Also, I have decided not to move. Sincerely, me.

Well you have 3 options: Take ownership as is your right, Wait to be bought out and given whatever earnings I've been able to make, or help decide what's our next direction and keep your money in (ie. sell the companies and just buy a party, or invest in other companies possibly in other countries).
