Just recently, my mouse started acting up. I would leave it inactive for a period of time (about ten seconds) and when I went to use it, it took 3 to 10 seconds to start moving the cursor on the screen. Just recently though it's gotten to be a crippling problem as the lag period is roughly 4 to 15 seconds. I've got the Out-of-the-box mouse that comes with the Acer Aspire AM5100-U5300A.

I do not currently know the cause of this problem.

I would greatly appreciate help in this and sadly until I can get my mouse running smoothly I won't be on TF2 (Or.. any other non-turn based game...)

Is it wired?
Sounds to me like a sensor is going bad?

Looks like you found the cause. That or it's dust/hair in the sensor.

Either way, there is only one solution: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/
