PC version is infact, crap. Single player is 5 hours and multiplayer is laggy, unreliable, and disconnects most of the time during host migration. Also, you need an open NAT for it to work properly.

I had fun playing the game at a 360 tournament tonight and I think it's easily better than the first one multiplayer wise, no contest.  I'll be able to comment on the singleplayer in just abit when I head out to pick it up.  Sucks their new service on the PC sucks balls, which will do nothing, but hamper keeping it around, which will be great for everyone eventually, though I bet it's just being hammered by everyone starting to play it now.

It is pretty sad, considering that this will probably be a critical and commercial success on consoles, but the PC version will get completely looked over as an unneeded port. 'Tis a sad day indeed.

Damn, underestimated the launch community around here.  Was nearly the 50th person in line and there was another Gamestop outside of the mall that had just as many or more.  And I'm not surprised that either game is not running super at launch.  Not all games have a perfect launch, let alone a game, that according to an employee there, said it is one of the biggest launches with 5 million copies sold on pre-order.  A couple millions folks trying to get on at the same time might create a wee bit of lag...which just furthers idea of why the hell they didn't make dedicated servers an option with the matchmaking, instead of matchmaking alone on the PC.  I give it a few days to a week before things settle down from the hype.

And yup, around 5 hours for the singleplayer...But god damn that playthrough was badass to me. 

To me it was just as intense as the first with the badassery taken up a notch with the fighting in DC, though I felt at times the story was pushed just a little too fast and had me lost for a sec till more plot was brought up in the next section.  To me, this wasn't like Halo 3 ODST short, where it was just long and pointless bits of wandering around a dull city to get story tidbits this was big things continually happening, but really it didn't mean too much.  Definitely gonna try a Veteran run through this after some multiplayer.

And then it points me right towards Special Ops, which I know is supposed to take place in the story mode, but you can bring friends and they are like challenges where you need to earn starts to progress through them.  That's more time spent there and not too mention the amount of time I'll spend in multiplayer.  This was definitely worth it to me.

I put less than 3 into Portal :\ If you don't plan to do Special Ops or Multiplayer, then yeah don't get the game.  I put a good hour into multiplayer last night and it worked nearly perfect for me.  I had zero lag and only two times did it migrate hosts, which it came back and we finished the game.

Oh and the throwing knife is awesome lol
