Forums Moving

Sometime in the next few days there will be an interruption in sevice for approximately 1 - 2 hours as I move the forums to a new host. The sluggishness you experienced last night was me mirroring several gigs of data that make up the map download FTP as the new server's wget raped it's bandwidth.

If all goes well there will be no need to change any bookmarks or anything as the same URL will just now point to the new box instead.


Hopefully this move will also allow us to pave the way to bringing back either PsychoStats or HLStatsX as well as possibly finally realizing the dreams of actually making a front page after two years.

You might want to set your DNS records TTL to 300 seconds a day before you move, else it can take 4 hours for the DNS to propagate worldwide.

I doubt most people here are using their own DNS forwarder....


If people really need to get to the site, cannot wait for their ISP's DNS to update and are using windows, edit your HOSTS file:
