We got 14 1/2 inches of snow last night, is anybody else living through this? I felt like the protagonist in Jack London's To Build A Fire this morning making my way to work.

Yeah, we got about 8 inches last night. Road are pretty horrible, already reports of a few accidents around town.

We barely got any in Chicago, it all turned to sleet then rain, and its going to Ice over like nobody's business tonight.

I'm very glad I have tomorrow and Friday off

i WISH we got 14 inches... man oh man - i really miss big storms.  decent snow last year, but nothing like "back in the day"

hope it's coming down in NH so I can get some quality skiing in this season

Got 10 inches overnight in Omaha. I had a 2 foot tall snow drift blocking my car in this morning. It took me half an hour to get out. I love my car but having rear wheel drive and an open diff sucks in winter.

We just go sleet last night in Northern Virginia. I heard that supposedly were going to have this big snow storm in the middle of next week. This would suck because that is finals week and if any finals are canceled that means an extended semester.

Its snowing like crazy in Ottawa, I think it's supposed to be like 30 cm by the end of the storm..

My mom just called to make sure I'm not dead since it's supposed to be freezing here (which it is), but no snow yet. She said they have about 14 inches of snow up there in Iowa.

No snow here yet, we def. have crazy winds though. It's 52 degrees outside, so wtf. Granted the windchill probably brings that right back down to 35 or so.

it's pretty sweet, i don't have to give my speech tonight, and today was the last day of class
would be awesome if we got out of it totally, but it's not going to happen

Yeah, it's pretty sunny today, but it was snowing the 4 days before.  Apparently back in my home town they had like the first legit snow day in the last thirty or forty years.  There's supposed to be more coming by this weekend too.

Can't really catch fish there in the summer either.

Anyway it's just HUGE amounts of snow and ice. Sometimes the snow piles and drifts in our back yard are taller than our house.

Yeah, we collected about 6-7 inches here in minneapolis.  Nothing we're not used to   I can't even remember the last time the Government and Universities shut down due to snow.  Prolly 1991.
