Ugh I think my boss bid way too less and way too quick on a report that is way too long and hard. Also everyone seems to have their panties in a twist over a report that isn't even due yet (and I'm just now starting on). WTF is up with my life lately?

-  September 11th, 1973,Prime Military officer Augusto Pinochet Ugarte makes a Coup de'tat on Communist president Salvador Allende. He stays on the power until 1989. On his military Goverment Pinochet kills a lot of people, mostly communists or people who differed with his way of goverment, he also stole a lot of private companies and making them part of the State (Mademsa, Iansa).
On 1989, Patricio Aylwin, member of the Christian Democracy (yep, no kidding),  won the elections after the 1988 plebiscit that Pinochet made asking the people if they wanted to keep having a military goverment failed.

  Even though Pinochet's "reign of terror" was really bad for the chilean society, his way of thinking helped Chile to improve a lot on it's economic bases, such as expelling all international investors on national resources and nationalizing the Copper.

20 years after the  Concertación (group of Liberal political groups, such as Christian Democracy) established on the goverment, they are still in the power. Our current president, Michelle Bachelet didn't had a great performance due to her weaknesses on making decisions and always making comisions to solve problems. Thanks to this, the polls are showing that Sebastian Piñera, member of Renovacion Nacional (Middle-right, somehow affiliated to Pinochet, mostly on the economical part) is winning on the current elections against Eduardo Frei (Concertación) and Marco Enriquez-Ominami (Independient) that will take place on December 13th, 2009.

Today, Chile is the second most profitable country on Latin America (after Brasil) and is still awesome.

If you're asking, i'll vote for Piñera. The economical advances on the Pinochet era were awesome, and to be honest, i wouldn't mind if they decide and go on a killing spree, we really need one :3.
