I've been looking for a background that I can leave up on my computer all day. I don't like to see the clutter and mess of icons on my desktop. It's like having a huge pile of papers laying around when somebody comes over to your place. I found this interesting enough (it's from a photographer whose tumblr I follow) that I can leave my computer on when I have company over. I really appreciate minimalism in design, and this just seemed really to fit well.

I've posted this in my computer thread before, but this thread is where it belongs.

I'm a fan of minimalism, so I use this to hide the desktop clutter. I also used this to change the default Windows 7 start orb to an invisible one I made. Windows 7 makes it easy to tweak the visual settings and to change the background/theme in a second for whatever suites my mood at the time. Not shown is my second screen, where I keep the CPU Meter and Weather gadgets hidden. I should get Rainmeter one of these days...

After having the same wallpaper for about a two years, I finally found another one that matches what I like. A nice dark-bluish background without anything an exact point of focus.



I'm actually considering paying for a digital blasphemy membership just so I can download his huge collection of amazing duel screened wallpapers. His are like the only ones I've seen that I like. In before "lol paying for wallpapers".
