Book on advanced improvisation theory and technique

Psh, you don't need a book for that. Learn scales..scales..and more scales. Then learn some chords...and then learn what kind of scales you can play inside of the chords.
Then get a band and just jam. The only way you get good at improv is by playing a lot..no matter the genre. Who's book did you get anyways? Jamey Aber?
[/quote]

I already know plenty of scales. The books are based on the more technical and theory based elements of improvisation. Things like Modal Interchanges when soloing using chord tones. While I agree that practicing and playing with other people is the best thing to do for improvisation, I still think it's worth my time to learn some more theory to open up some possibilities I might have not thought of before. I picked up a MI book which is usually a hit and miss with some people but I like them.

smart. modes are extremely essential to the art of soloing.(ex. mixo, dorian for jazz) theory helps to understand what goes where, but your ear is just as good at doing that as anything else.

yea, I'm a music education major. it's why I don't play on the servers often during the year..I'm too busying practicing and performing. If you ever have any music theory questions hit me up.

I've pretty much abandoned my Wii so I just have stuff for PS3 now.

Also, I beat the game tonight. Much easier than rock band. My drum set sucks though, think it was damaged after refurbishing. Sad

Luin got me a Chumby One (so hackable!) and a hard cover Sandman issue. The in-laws got me a $50 home depot card.

Will have to update tomorrow with what I received from my family.

Yeah regular SD card.  I'm not well versed on the ways of SD-ness so pardon my terminology Tongue

I'm not even a redneck and I love beef jerky. The 1lb bags  are the best because you get big pieces of jerky.

There's one in St. Bruno, but Benito lives in the shittiest part of Montreal to live in. All that's around him are houses. Tongue
