Unless they really fucked up the PC port Lumines is definitely worth a couple bucks.
I am disappoint that I paid $10 for torchlight the other day now though. *edit* Alright Lumines is a pretty god awful port. It's 640x480 or some bizarre ass resolution that doesn't work right on my monitor, and if you have 5.1 sound you have to set it to stereo or your sound won't work in game. |

I'm thinking about Fallout 3 GOTY (lulz at GOTY), but I'm gonna wait until the last day of the sale too unless it goes on a daily deal.
If MW2 goes on sale at all it'll be like 10% off : |

Basically everyone has their price point, generally speaking they pick the normal price as the one that gets them the most money. But they'd get even more money if they could sell to everyone at their own price point. So with these sales what they are doing is they already sold to everyone the game is worth $20 to, then they do the short term $10 sales and that gets money from everyone who would have paid between $10 and $20. Then they do the surprise sale of it at $5 and that gets money from everyone who would pay $5 or more but not more than $10. It's selective pricing, and the best way to max out the money earned on a game. It's also what valve is the best at. |

Yea..that's the game I want the most at this point. That and Dead Space and Mass Effect..but they aren't even included in the sale..it's like EA has a dick shoved up their ass for this. |

According to Steam, I've played MW2 for a little over 20% as much as I've played TF2, including idling time...and I don't think I've ever played TF2 for even 4 hours at a time, much less 5 or 6.

It's really good to read two positive reviews from PC players. I didn't play MW1 or the Call of Duty series, and I've tried MW2 only on the XBox (rental). I thought it was fantastic on the Xbox, and if I was more of a XBox gamer I would pick it up. I read the MW2 thread on EJ, and I found a lot of complaints about cheating on PC maps, Combat Knife spam, Javelin hacks, etc. Finally, they said most PC games are filled with awful players (which I would fall under) and people who have been playing forever. I didn't want to show up and just get farmed by hackers, basically.
This is one of the clan videos off of the MW2 thread there, I thought it was little intimidating to get into. If there are people here who play it...I would strongly consider it. http://www.wipido.com/video/KrFmraUDaKtH |

I know I'd buy it if I played more with people on BRB;U. Games like MW2 are my sniping strength. |

I didn't want to show up and just get farmed by hackers, basically. there are some hackers, more than in TF2, but it seems maybe slightly more than other PC FPSes...certainly Planetside had way more hackers per session than MW2 does. I say per session because PS is an MMO, and because of that, you come into contact with many more players per game session than MW2, a game session being the time between starting up and quitting. People running around and being the MVP with the knife is definitely a problem, but...do people really not sprint around with the knife on consoles? The Javelin bug wasn't PC-specific, and was fixed a long time ago. I play it, eightball and his friend play it, tom8o plays it, and some other friends play it. durp. |
