Does the increase offensive spell talent literally bump every offensive spell up by one level? Because if so I see no reason not to invest all your points into that.

no it doesn't give it a whole level for each, more like 1/4 of a level for each

Bought the game on the $10 "weekend deal" and it's great so far.  There's so many small, excellent ideas in this game (like having a pet that can go to town and sell loot for you while you still explore!) that I hope some people from Blizzard take note of for Diablo III.

no it doesn't give it a whole level for each, more like 1/4 of a level for each

WTF are you talking about, yes it does.  However by offensive spell, it means spells you have slotted from the spell scrolls, not your character skills.

Wrong again.  This adds to the level of the spell scroll you assigned, so you can get a skill at a much higher level than your normal skills.

You can select if you want a cat or a dog at the beginning, I believe. I actually had a crazy glitch last night. I bought a Dogfish, which permanently changes your cat into a dog. I then used a 120 second spider fish, and proceeded to have a spider companion for the next three and half hours even after multiple runs back to Torchlight. I died because I wasn’t paying attention (double named-casters) and when I came back I had a cat again. In short, I DID have a dog, but all in all I have had a Spider for more playtime then anything else.

That helm is awesome. I want that. I am using some level 15 defense helm that I am just keeping because it is a Unique. I need an upgrade. WTB.
