[/quote]<3, my dad and his brother did that to this grandparent when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She spent the last year in a rehabilitation hospital.

[/quote]What sucks worse is that I was in NY last month, totally could've driven out to the hospital to see her before she died, got told I shouldn't because my dad couldn't handle flying out to be there with me D:

And I hadn't noticed
and he changed the "interested in" section of my info to men.
And it's probably been up for weeks now.

Same here.  About a year ago my grandfather managed to crash his car in Miami, and so we pretty much had to stop letting them come down to Florida every year.

My grandfather died in 2001, so I guess I know how you feel. My grandparents that live out in Farmington are probably going to pass on before I get out of college...I know that's a horrible thing to say, but my Grandpa's memory gets worse every day (dementia) and my grandmother's sight is just getting worse.

I'm sorry to hear it, Atom. I never knew my grandparents; I met my mom's mom once when I was very young and we did not share a language. All others were dead before then and she died shortly thereafter, so I won't pretend to know your loss. But, I feel for you all the same.
