Does anybody really like Mos Def? I just am a huge fan of his work. I have really enjoyed him in films, not just music as well. He plays really deep, thoughtful roles. Remember him in Highjacker’s Guide? Solid performance.

As for his music, I am just a HUGE sucker for the classic samples and beats he uses. I fully subscribe to the school of J Dilla and Mad Lib when it comes to beat making; classic samples from old vinyls. No auto-tone here. I really like his cadence too; it isn’t one-liner based, but it sounds like he is really having fun on the track.

Anyone ever listen to Sean Lennon? He does a lot of... it's hard to describe. It's like light rock with keyboard and synthesizers. I like him a lot, so I'll post 2 or 3 songs of his I like. The videos are from the DVD that came with the Friendly Fire album, so they won't make much sense (he tried to go and make a sort of experimental film thing with his album, there's a back story to the album I'll tell people about that sorta became his way of coping with a bad event). Pretty sure that's Funker Vogt.  Unless VNV decided to remix it and I never heard about it.  Which is entirely possible.  And what's wrong with Airships?  Not a fan of the slower songs?  And not liking Epicentre I just don't get   But that's ok, everyone has dif tastes (it'd be pretty boring if we didn't)

Well airships isn't bad, it's just compared to the other songs I have on my little VNV nation mix CD I always end up just skipping past it in favor of listening to something like Electronaut or Honour
