Started digging through all that touhou stuff. I'm just shocked by all this amazing fan made content. Don't care what the general opinion on that one fan made episode was, I thought it was awesome. Not just that, but all these videos, people remaking these songs WITH LYRICS... I mean, either way, it's nuts that all content can come out of a game that, at first glance, looks like just a bullet-hell game.
Oh... and haruhi's endless eight was the most pointless thing I've ever stayed up all night to watch. >

2.4mb sig ã(ಠâ¿â¿à² ã)      (â¯à² â¿â¿à² )â¯ï¸µbıs qɯ4Ë2 |

Touhou just has an obscene amount of "fan-made" content, never mind that the games are actually pretty good They rank in the top tier of "challenging yet beatable" if you practice them, and to be honest even when dying a lot on the higher difficulties the deaths tend to not be bullshit :x  Sig by Joel |

you can always clearly see your hitbox and keep in mind touhou it self is an indie project so it can and really is anything people want it to be.

You should all be watching Durarara! right now. The best show to come out this season. Made by the creators of Baccano! A little bit of character overload at first, but it's awesome. The music is amazing as well.

Currently going though this crazy short series Time of Eve. A scifi series sorta like a cross between Ghost in the Shell & iRobot. I'm loving it so far though. Love the music at the end too.

Just watched Interstella 5555 and have to say that it was very good. strongly recommended if you like Daft Punk. Now I need to catch up on Ookami Kakushi. Hopefully it's as good as Higurashi.
If you play osu, they got a pretty awesome beatmap of that.... well.. along with pretty much any other touhou song. Osu's community's big into anime if you haven't noticed already. Anyways, finished Time of Eve... last episode was actually rather moving. Reeeally recommend it, even if it's just to have something to watch while you eat easy mac and hotdogs because that was the pretty much the only thing you picked up when you went to buy groceries which upon retrospect was probably a bad idea. Just played an epic beatmap of a remix of some song. Sounded annoying familiar... couldn't quite place my finger on it, so I looked it up on youtube.
Sure enough... Haru - Voyage 1969 (Instrumental) I'm willing to bed about half my osu library are songs from touhou I didn't even know about when I downloaded them. Nonetheless, the piano combined with that beat/scratch sfx sounds flippin amazing. Thought you guys might find this interesting--it's a .pdf from a text in my class on History of Animation. It goes pretty in-depth about Anime and Japan's cultural identity, influences, and social impacts. It's around a half-hour read. Maybe it'd be nice to discuss here.
