Holy shit, is this really coming out in a week?  they should learn to promote a little better, i still know almost next to nothing about this game except that there is a badass black character in the vain of every black anime character.  He turned into a car in one of the trailers.

He doesn't turn into the car, he summoned something. All the summons are vehicles now, like Shiva's a motorcycle, etc. I'm not 100% sure I'm going to buy it since God of War III comes out the week after, but I am gameflying it.

I'm having a hard time having any faith in FF13.  I'll eventually pick it up, but I'm in no rush.

I'm iffy on some of the features in the game that they changed for it's new combat system, but I might play it.  Gonna rent it though since I don't plan to buy it.  Haven't really loved a FF game in years.

I heard it was pretty good. I'm actually glad they changed the battle system to what appears to be a modified Kingdom Hearts system. I pre-ordered.

final fantasy? Does it have awesome gun jumping like Resonance of Fate does? Also, I never got into the whole final fantasy thing. Now if they had said that they were going to bring over Tales of Graces then I would hype.

Seven was my favorite. I know I'm going to get a lot of flack for that but I haven't played the whole series, maybe about a third and seven was always the most solid story wise for me.

How about before you play XIII go play IV or VI


You can get the remake of IV on the DS or VI is on the GBA. There's always ROMs too...

Do We think its better than.....

Final Fantasy X? No, but it isn't worse. Ack, don't make us choose! Both have excellent battle systems that each improve on the ATB base. FFX has some better characterization in the relationship between Tidus and Yuna, but then again there's no one as annoying as Wakka in FFXIII. People who loved the romance aspect of FFX will be disappointed that FFXIII lacks a strong romantic element.

They thought FFX was good, their argument is invalid, please compare to VI or IV
