My sub runs out at the end of the month and I know a few others have canceled, I just do not have the time or the will to run this and with the really low populations its just not been all that fun.

This will be the last PS Saturday, at least, until Planetside NEXT makes an appearance.

Fun in this game increases exponentially with the more people that join up so I hope to see more of the people that stated they were interested in the initial thread to come out, the game is FREE, but you are restricted to 14 days after which you will have to start all over again. If you get "suspended" or banned since the trial accounts are loopholes just make another one. Conversely you can spend $20 to pick up the game at direct2drive, which comes with a free month, this allows you to keep your character instead of having to re-level someone every 2 weeks.

The first link will install only PS, the other is SOE's general launcher which you then have to select to install PS, both require an account with SOE's Station

If the old school launcher is not working, set launchpad.exe to run in compatability mode for win95. Alternately you can use the SOE Beta LaunchPad, either work.

Remember, the trials sometimes will RANDOMLY suspended you, just a heads up.


If you have issues running the game, make sure launchpad.exe and planetside.exe are both being run in Win95 Compatibility mode

Firstly, big thanks to Caff for continuing to organize and promote this event for so long. Secondly, thanks to Caff's pre-BRBU PS buddies who were so helpful, welcoming, and downright hilarious to play with. At0m, Angry, Ertai, Shadow, BT, and yes, even that drama queen Kalarifki. I had a great run in this game.

Now, I have bad news, and good news. The bad news is that most of my screenshots from last night didn't take until after I crashed, so I don't have some swell counterparts to Eschatos'. So, dear reader, you will have to trust me on this.

First, Eschatos (playing as TacoTacos) TK's MistLynx for being a BFR driver. After some hate-tells, MistLynx calls his buddy Buddahx to start TK-ing Eschatos. During this, I was gunning in Caff's tank (mag of course), and had heretofore not been involved in said teamkilling.

So, some way into the TacoTacos - Buddahx feud, Buddahx comes rolling back into base in his tank with a sliver of health. My finger slips on the trigger, and he and his buddy are toast. I wait....but no hate-tell comes.

Over the next 15 mins or so, Eschatos continues to troll Buddahx and his buddies over global chat. We move on to take another base, Caff flying a Vulture bomber. I look down the bomber sights to see...Buddahx sitting in the courtyard in his tank. My finger slips again and drops 5 bombs on his head. Poof goes Buddah. Ah, here come the tells

me: Oh. I am sorry, it must be karma...
Buddahx:OH - tacos u changed ur name
me: Who is tacos?
Buddahx: u think this is funny?
me: I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean. Is tacos some sort of insult?
Buddahx: Oh, nevermind, I see tacos is still on. I'm sorry, I thought you were him due to that karma comment
me: Who is this "Tacos"?

me: That sounds awful. Did you get him back?

Unfortunately, planetside crashed so I was unable to sweet-talk him further into an outfit-invite.
