it's so much easier to find facebook profiles using straight out google searches of real names than myspace profiles.  I don't even think my name is on myspace fully....

there are sites that are for searching for people - it's like an index of all sites that come across your name - can show you where people live and links to all their sites (myspace facebook etc) - you can also search by usernames which in turn can link you to their real name... I use those with all my usernames and make sure nothing links to my name/exact location.

I used to be a health insurance broker. I did business with 22 insurance companies across the nation.
That was until I talked to a lady who had been with a major insurance company for a long time, one that I did business with directly. Her husband developed a brain tumor and after an extensive hospital stay, tests, treatments, and other misc. the bill was in excess of $750,000.
That is not the bad part. The bad part is that this company chose to deny his coverage on his deathbed. This man had to file for divorce of his wife of over 30 years so his wife would not be stuck with that bill.
That was my last day as a broker. If you support capitalism having any role in healthcare, fuck you.

It comes out that the UPD made some pretty big missteps and several of his neighbors have spoken out against the police and are calling for a review. The metal pipe he was holding was believed to be his walking cane as he was disabled. There have been a bunch of protests in favor of this guy. Their side is that he had a mental breakdown, he should have been Baker Acted, he could have been the day before, and the day in question they had several opportunities to not shoot him in the head but to subdue him in other ways.

I've been in San Francisco this week for Spring Break with the family. We've seen Alcatraz, ridden Segways, and been to museums. The rest of this week is redwood trees, an aircraft carrier, and more museums.
