My dad's best friend died this morning when he fell from 24 feet of scaffolding and it crushed him. My dad is a wreck I havent seen him like this since my grandmother died when I was 10.

So this is good and bad. I got an email from my instructors saying that I've been moved from the advanced clinical group to the preceptorship group. This means working 1:1 with a nurse w/o instructor supervision. Initially, they told me that I was pretty much #1 on the list to get a preceptorship, but they were concerned about how my personality would mesh 1 on 1 and didn't want me to have a bad experience. I think you guys know how brash I can be   But yeah, I already fucked my work schedule over to fit advanced clinicals. And now it's way too late to fix it again, and I don't think I can honestly turn down a preceptorship in an ICU.. FML.
