ok so I'm loving the love for Gold in this thread. My copy is also Gold (legally purchased at that). And guess what? No one who posted their friend code here has it actually working. I tried entering the codes and all I got was "incorrect friend code". So heres a protip: YOU NEED THE EXACT SPELLING AND CAPITALIZATION OF YOUR NAME IN ORDER TO PUT IT IN THE DEX.

Fix it.

Not many at all.....I thought I could lvl up in there like it was a daycare, but no.  I only get one f*cking lvl.  Also, I cant catch anything for some reason, which is lame.

man just evade twice and toss a ball, works for all of them so far.
Also, random pokemon can join you if you are walking and dont have anyone on it.
I found a 'heart scale' no idea what it does
it's pretty easy to use, and ive got over 200k steps so far.

I know that stuff.  In fact a spearow came to my pokewalker for silver.  Heart scales are used to trade for moves from the move tutor.  I'll try that evasion trick.


Also, has anyone confirmed that foriegn pokemon bred with your own actually do have a  greater chance to create shiny pokemon?

Yes, as many sources indicate that the creator specially coded that segment for that purpose.
