Malwarebytes is such an amazing program.

one quick scan was all it took to remove a particularity pesky and annoying fake anti-virus malware that prevented me from doing just about anything.

only problem is, since removing the thing, some of my programs besides firefox can't connect to the network.  Most notably, itunes wont go to the itunes store, which, though not terrible annoying, is an easy way to get my podcasts.

Checking around the lan options, suddenly it seemed i was connected to a proxy server and unchecking the option made everything better.

Bad thing?

I still like my joke too.

People make too big of a deal about gay mayors.  Portland elected a gay mayor in 2008 and immediately they tried to recall him because he might or might not have kissed a n 18 year old boy 6 years ago.  Gay panic in the most liberal city north of San Fransisco is a serious thing apparently.

Gainesville is one of if not the most liberal town in FL but that doesn't stop hicks from doing some really stupid shit locally. For example we had this huge deal about whether or not transsexuals were allowed to use the bathroom or something stupid.
